Description
The blade and tang are forged from a single bar of carbon steel, so there is no weld to snap when you lever a root. The edges are ground to a shallow bevel for cutting through compacted soil and the point is drawn out narrow for planting out plugs.
12 inches overall, blade 6 by 3 inches, 11 oz. The handle is turned Dutch ash with a brass ferrule and a leather hanging loop. Rinse, dry and wipe with oil. Made in a family forge in the Netherlands.
