Description
A trug is the original harvest basket. The rim and handle are split sweet chestnut, steam bent, and the seven boards are shaved willow, nailed with copper so nothing rusts. It carries cut flowers, a trowel and gloves, or the day's beans.
18 inches long, 10 inches wide, 7 inches to the handle top, 1.3 lb. Hose it, let it dry in shade, do not leave it soaking. The willow silvers with age. Made in Sussex, England.
